Weekend Box Office Results October 7, 2011 - October 9, 2011
Whats good ladies & gents ?? You know how we do on mondays here at BlvdAve. Here's the top 12 box office results of this past weekend. After weeks of new releases failing to reach the top 3 spots at box office, 2 new releases have finally put an end to what seemed to be interchanging top weekends by 'MONEYBALL,' 'DOLPHIN TALE' and 'The Lion King.' 'Real Steel,' starring Hugh Jackman, came in at Number 1 this weekend, racking in over $27 Million domestically and another $22 Million overseas to bring its debut weekend total to $49 Million. The George Clooney drama 'The Ides of March' came in second place with a box office total of $10 Million it's opening weekend, followed by 'Dolphin Tale,' which is still going very strong in it's 3rd week at box office with $9 Million in ticket sales this past weekend. 'MoneyBall' and '50/50' round out the top 5 at box office, drawing $7.5 and $5.5 Million in ticket sales this past weekend.
